From Yapping to Yoga: How Teachers Experience and Limit Burnout
Written for my Education Studies Senior Seminar in Spring 2026 with Professor Tracy Weston, this study was conducted to better understand 1) Why teachers experience burnout 2) How teachers experience burnout 3) How teachers respond to burnout. As a future teacher, I wanted to gain insight from teachers about how to avoid or mitigate burnout in order to maintain my health and my passion for education. I interviewed thirteen of my former middle and high school teachers. Because of Institutional Review Board regulations, I cannot publish this paper in its entirety, but a few excerpts are below:
